Preamble
We, the bonafide students of Misamis University, Ozamiz City, Philippines, taking up the courses, Nursing, Health Aide, and Midwifery, with the aid of God Almighty, formed/organized an association that shall embody our ideals and promote the general welfare of these students, do hereby ordain and promulgate this constitutional and by-laws.
Article I — Name
The name of this association shall be called "Nightingale Student Circle" or NSC.
Article II — Nature
| Section 1 | The Nightingale Student Circle shall be a non-sectarian, non-political and non-profit organization. |
| Section 2 | It is the body of students from the Nursing, Health Aide, and Midwifery, men and women, dedicated for the welfare of the students: promote in the college, cultivate creative talents, provide venues for expression of self, appreciate group efforts through cooperation, gain friends and develop camaraderie. |
| Section 3 | All rights and privileges within the association shall be open and equal to every member of the association. |
Article III — Organization
| Section 1 | The NSC shall be composed of the registered members of good standing and shall be administered by the administration of the Misamis University. |
Article IV — Officers and Duties
| Section 1 | The officers of the NSC shall be composed of the following: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, three (3) Press Relation Officers, and two (2) Social Managers. |
| Section 2 | The President who is elected by the members shall be the executive head of the NSC with full power to enforce the provisions of the constitution and by-laws, rules and regulations. He/She shall preside over all the meetings of the association. |
| Section 3 | The Vice-President, after qualification, shall succeed and perform the duties of the President in case of the latter's absence, disqualification, removal and/or resignation. In any case of succession, he/she shall serve only the unexpired term of his predecessor. |
| Section 4 | The Secretary shall keep complete and up-to-date records of all minutes and proceedings of all meetings. |
| Section 5 | The Treasure shall keep a record of collections and disbursements and shall prepare and submit financial statements during the meeting and remind delinquent members of their obligations. |
| Section 6 | The Auditor shall inspect and audit all collections and disbursements made by the Treasurer every end of the month. |
| Section 7 | The Press Relation Officer shall be the press public relation agent of the association. He/She shall report to the President an important observation of the status and/or development of the association. |
| Section 8 | The Social Managers shall transact business and any activities within/outside the school campus that are beneficial to the association. |
Article V — Fines and Monthly Dues
| Section 1 | All members of the NSC shall pay a membership fee of Php 50.00. |
Article VI — Fines and Surcharges
| Section 1 | A fine shall be paid by a member in a case he/she commits any unconstitutional acts, of which the amount shall be determined by the officers of the association. |
| Section 2 | The proceeds collected from the fines and surcharges shall be considered as part of the standing fund for the association. |
Article VII — Amendments
| Section 1 | Any amendments of the constitution and by-laws be proposed by the officers of the Nightingale Student Circle to be submitted for ratification by the members during an assembly and submitted to the Misamis University administration for final approval. |
